One part of the promotion I ran a couple of weeks ago was having to revert prices back to their retail $4.99 for at least two weeks. Thing is, I wanted to go to different, lower, prices, in order to keep the momentum up from the promotion, which was wonderfully successful. Well, the two weeks have passed, and I’m happy to let viewers know that the three books will lock in at these prices till further notice: Book I 99 cents, Book II 1.99, and Book III 2.99. And the books are also available to Kindle Unlimited members for free.
I’m also happy to relay that my beta readers tell me each book is better than the one before, so as much as I think Book I is total awesome fun, according to others the series value increases from I to III. So, yay!
I’m not looking to make a bundle here with these prices; I’m looking to expand the series’ readership and grow my author brand. The simple idea here is that I’m working away on a new series – quite different, yet another part of me – and want to get my work out there as best I can so new readers can get a feel for my story telling, see if they like my voice, decide if they enjoy the entertainment rides I offer. And if so, then they’ll hopefully want to try out my new books. The ones I’m working on now are a cool, noirish mystery series set in the 1980s. They are told in the first person and happen to star a prominent supporting character from the Superheroes series, 35 years ago. And I have a few more series ideas waiting in line for their turn.
This is all about entertaining, plain and simple. And, yes, of course, I hope to derive income from my work. Not that it’s work work. It’s fun work. It’s wonderfully fulfilling work. Yes, the business side is work, but it’s good work that appeals to me greatly.
As do you, dear readers, as do you. Thank you!!
